OAR offers coached programming for adults who have completed at least a Learn to Row (scull or sweep) and now want to row on a regular basis in a coached environment.
Those wishing to participate in coached sessions must be members of OAR. Additional season fees are assessed to cover the cost of running the coached season (eg: coach/admin time, launch fuel). Exception: Beginning rowers who join the club are automatically enrolled in Novice sessions at no additional charge.
On-water practices are generally 2 hours. Rowers are encouraged to show up 15 minutes prior to practice start time to help prepare and set up equipment for the day.
The schedule varies depending on season and time of year due to length of daylight. Also check our calendar for up-to-date info onwhen coached practices are scheduled.
